Aint it amazing ? I am back to blogging after 2 long years ... yes many things have changed .. some of you might be well aware of it .. Others would not care ( Which is quite obvious :p ) ... Now I can either drag on the gr8 memories of our cyber literary orgy - RB days.. or I can bore you with my present life which is all about SAP, Audit, PwC and Office stories :p ... which mind you is a mental orgy :p :p ... either way u have very little to chose .. and I have very litle to share ! But this 2 years have really changed my life I must tell you. More of it .. some other day!
So this is where the story starts ... 2 years ago I left my hometown in a search for freedom and peace in mind ( If i add the sentence - "I left my memories behind" , would it be too MLTR-ish ?? ) .. It was against the wish of every single person i knew .. The very first thing that came to my mind when I got this job ( sitting in Kolkata ) , forget that.. my fragment of imagination which potrayed a very filmy image of Bombay ... stuffs like office in a very tall building, the sea in the background, my own open roof car (and many hot chicks in that car), a girl in short skirt sitting next to me in my cubicle .. my spike-hair ( a glorious mix of Figo+ Becham+ Ronaldo's spike ) .. and the girl (in short skirt sitting next to me) and me sharing the same earphone in sync with Black eyed Pea ... Well.. the truth is.. nothing is Boombastic about Bombay .. Dont want to describe whats it actualy like in my office.. but well nothing as I thought :( I have always considered myself as a half bong, someone who can survive anywhere, anytime eating 'ghass phuss' and no non-veg. But if I have to write 5 things a bong must know about Bombay it would be. (1)Bombay is all about professionalism and less artistry ( your efficiency counts not your atributes ) (2)Surviving the corporate world need great plan and greater determination ( the compition is soo cut-throat being best among the equals doesnt count much ) (3) Relax and dont run with the crowd - I may be mad .. but the common attitude with Mumbai crowd is that they love to run-push-fight .. even when its not needed.. (No am not talking a 9.30 Local Train to CST... people run-push and fight even when its a 11.45 pm train to Churchgate :D :D ) (4) Adapt .. Its a common facto anywaz.. You have to adapt to the place .. be it Mumbai or Madras ... adapting to Mumbai is easier though compared to Madras .. no tips for it... Adaptibility is all in the mind (5) Enjoy .... After all ... All you need is one good friend .. one bottle of beer and one ambition in life ... at the end of the day all it matters is how much u tried for what you could do .. and not think of what you could have done !!
... promise to continue blogging .. I miss it badly :p
